SUMMARY 

Access Source Group, Inc. is working with a long-time client to find an Operational Excellence Manager that will lead numerous cross-entity councils. Will work with various business entities on process improvement and sharing of best practices. This position will be accountable to deliver tangible financial savings and to manage key initiatives that impact multiple operating companies and sub-groups. Our client is a global manufacturing corporation with a large North American presence.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and facilitate Operational Development councils for the America’s in various functional areas including Seamless Flow, Sustainability, Robotics, Quality, Finishing and others.
  • Provide hands on problem solving and process improvement support to assigned business units.
  • Collaborate with Director of Operational Excellence to deploy and maintain the Americas Strategy to Excellence (S2X) Business System and provide training / certification in the use of the S2X tool kit.
  • Facilitate targeted cross-entity kaizen events.
  • Participate on the Seamless Flow Steering Team & own the “Seamless Production” KPI
  • Maintain the key Operational Development KPI’s and drive continuous improvement
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices across operating companies
  • Act as Project Manager for strategic initiatives that cross over multiple entities and sub-groups.
  • Up to 50% travel

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors in Engineering or related field. 5+ Years of hands-on operations experience in a manufacturing environment. Extensive experience in Lean deployment and Kaizen event leadership / facilitation. 6 Sigma Black Belt certification a plus. Extensive Project Management experience and proficiency in Microsoft Project. Qualified to train and utilize key Lean / Continuous Improvement disciplines (ie. Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Line Balancing, Visual Management, Lean Daily Management, 5S, Kanban, SMED, PFEP, TPM, Heijunka, Problem Solving, FMEA, etc.)

Outstanding facilitation and problem solving skills. Must be self-directed, well organized and have good follow-up skills. Excellent written and oral communication & presentation skills. Strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority. Manufacturing Supervision experience is a “plus.” Solid PC skills including proficiency in all MS Office applications
